GOLDRush for UK online centres goes live

GOLDRush has its own spangly presenter to lead users through the quiz
We’ve spent the last few weeks working on this year’s Get Online Day (GOLD) for UK online centres.
Our task was to create an online interactive quiz to help non-internet users get a grip of the basics. We needed to show them the benefits of being online and how it can positively affect their lives.
Enter GOLDRush – the quiz that shows you how to have a great time online.
Based in a glitzy (and not unintentionally cheesy) television studio, you’re welcomed on set by a friendly video presenter who will guide you through the rest of the quiz.
There are three main tasks, each designed to show you how to get online and start doing something useful:
- search for information about genealogy (one of the most popular internet search terms)
- use internet maps
- create secure passwords to stay safe.
GOLDRush went live on Friday 9 October ready for the start of the GOLD campaign, which runs from Monday 19 to Saturday 31 October.
