We’re all big kids and we love to make stuff fun, colourful and interactive.

We make learning experiences, immersive games and playful interactions for some of the biggest names in children’s media, like Nickelodeon, Cbeebies and National Geographic Education.

We’re inspiring young storytellers

We created an inspirational writing space where young people can write and publish stories, and get one-to-one help from trained and vetted writing mentors.

The platform was developed in partnership with the Ministry of Stories and UCL Institute of Education. It helps young writers – from 11 years up – with creative writing, independent learning and literacy, and evaluates how they can benefit from remote support.

We’re helping thousands of schoolkids to learn through animation

We created this flagship interactive website for Geography Awareness Week. Simple, engaging interactions got schoolchildren thinking about the long and complex journeys made by everyday items – from mobile devices to jeans. Live data sets allow users to see which countries other people around the world depend on.

The project helped National Geographic move from desktop-only to responsive design.

Spongebob Squarepants – HTML5 mini-games

Nickelodeon approached us because their website needed fresh, engaging interactive content to promote flagship brand Spongebob Squarepants. As Spongebob aficionados from way back, we were very happy to oblige!

We created a suite of four HTML5 mini-games designed to appeal to kids across the board. Whether it’s using bubbles to catch trash before it lands in Bikini Bottom, swiping Krabby Patties into Patrick’s mouth, or firing food missiles to defend the Krusty Krab, there’s something for everyone.

Paw Patrol – fun games for pre-schoolers

Animated series Paw Patrol is a big hit with pre-schoolers, and one of Nick Jr’s most popular shows. We were asked to develop a suite of four mini-games to help its young fans have fun online.

The games cover challenges such as picking up flotsam from the sea, collecting recyclables from the beach, cleaning muddy pawprints off buildings using a water cannon (very satisfying!), and flying a helicopter to help farm animals after a snowstorm. They are designed to reflect the themes of the show – teamwork, problem solving and having fun together.

Sing and play: interactive nursery rhymes for Nick Jr

Nickelodeon asked us to create a suite of 12 interactive nursery rhymes for the Nick Jr website. The interactions are designed to enable 3–5-year-olds to co-play with parents and interact with Nick Jr brand characters while enjoying a family singalong!

The rhymes, developed in HTML5, feature Nick Jr characters like Dora the Explorer and Peppa Pig alongside characters we designed to fit with the Nick Jr brand look and feel. Each interaction features a specially commissioned musical version of the nursery rhyme.

Building excitement: Furchester interactive countdown for CBeebies

CBeebies asked us to produce a 10-day interactive countdown to their eagerly anticipated new show The Furchester Hotel. The idea was for the audience to meet the main characters – Elmo, Phoebe and the rest of the family – in advance of transmission, and build excitement for the show’s start date.

A new window was unlocked each day during the countdown, with each being used to introduce a character and allow the audience to interact with them via a small playful interactive. For example, one window introduces the character of Elmo and asks the audience to help him make the pig guest room messy – just how they like it!

Nick Kicks game: Football fun for NickToons fans

We created a responsive HTML5 game for 6–12-year-olds to accompany Nick Kicks, the new football show on NickToons. The game features a selection of feature characters from the channel, including Spongebob, Breadwinners, Sanjay and Craig, Rocket Monkeys and Harvey Beaks who act as obstacles and add humour with their own unique personality and cheekiness!

Simple and intuitive gameplay allows kids to compete against friends or family. The further you run, the harder levels become – tap, swipe or click to test your skills to the max – can you get your name in lights on the leaderboard?

Puffin Rock: multi-level HTML5 game to launch new Nick Jr show

We created a responsive multi-level game in HTML5 to support the launch of Puffin Rock, theming the game on the rich and lively environment of the show. Play centres around the main character Oona as she teams up with friends and siblings for fun and adventures in different locations on the island.

The game is a side scroller using either rolling terrain or the ocean floor. The background uses parallax to add depth and movement. In each level the player’s objective is to collect ‘rewards’, but Oona must be careful – there are hazards along the way…
